On March 18, 2025, we celebrated the Grand Opening of Tropical Smoothie Cafe, located at 970 2nd St NE in Hickory. This location opened recently in January and owner Henry Patel, is excited to welcome the community, to the new cafe.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe began as a single location in Destin, Florida and has grown to be a lifestyle brand for people looking for better for you alternatives to fast food. Every day, they serve up great-tasting, nutritious food and smoothies at more than 1,500+ locations in the U.S.
Today’s celebration began with remarks from Chamber Ambassador Sandy Williams, followed by remarks by Chamber President/CEO Lindsay Keisler, and owner Henry Patel. The Patel family invited the dozens of guests in attendance to join them for lunch and a smoothie.
In addition to smoothies, the cafe offers breakfast, a kids menu, tropic bowls, flatbread, wraps, sandwiches, and salads. They are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am-9:00 pm, Saturdays from 8:00 am-9:00 pm, and Sundays from 10:00 am-8:00 pm. They also offer delivery, online ordering, in store pickup options, and free wifi.

Join them next weekend for Grand Opening specials March 28-30. On Friday, they will be offering $1.99 any 24 oz smoothies, Saturday specials will include $3.99 any flatbread, and Sunday will have a $5.00 flatbread combo which includes a flatbread, side, and 24 oz smoothie.
