Join us at the 19th Annual Women’s Leadership Conference, Presented by Catawba Valley Health System. On November 14, 2024, The Chamber of Catawba County convened over 800 guests at the newly renovated Hickory Metro Convention Center.
The morning began with our Opening Keynote, Dr. Sara Safari, Founder & President of Climb Your Everest. Dr. Safari’s Keynote: Climb Your Everest: Leadership Lessons from Mount Everest, explored the parallels between the challenges she faced climbing Everest and those encountered in leadership. Her story of overcoming adversity inspired hundreds of attendees.
After Dr. Safari’s Keynote, guests visited our new Experience Center, where they could interact with over 55 sponsors and exhibitors, as well as four of our conference speakers, and 4 boutiques in the Shop Local Marketplace.
Attendees had the opportunity to pick from 5 morning breakout sessions with dynamic speakers from across the region. Topics included negotiation, confidence, mentorship and sponsorship, and more which aim to support the growth of local businesses by creating workplaces where everyone can thrive and lead authentically.
Following lunch, attendees chose another breakout session to engage in which included topics on artificial intelligence, leadership lessons, retaining employees, and health and wellness.
Closing out our conference was Dilan Gomih, Founder of Dilagence, a company that helps organizations and individuals achieve high performance through wellbeing. Dilan’s Closing Keynote session, Movement for High Performance, engaged our entire audience off their feet-literally, for some moments of movement. The interactive session provided participants an understanding of well-being, with a specific focus on movement. They learned how movement impacts productivity and gained practical insights to incorporate movement into their daily routines effectively.
