On August 20, 2024, The Chamber of Catawba County hosted a Ribbon Cutting for Jenkins Funeral Home in Newton, NC. Jenkins Funeral Home was founded by Carl & Lori Jenkins in 2004. They set out to become the premier funeral home in the area, providing families with the utmost in professional services.
Owner & Funeral Director, Carl Jenkins, is fulfilling his life’s passion of guiding families in their difficult times. Carl & Lori’s son, Ben Jenkins, joined the family firm full time in 2013. Today, the Jenkins Family operates several locations across the region, including a site in Virginia.
At the Ribbon Cutting, guests heard Carl’s entrepreneurial story as well as remarks from Chamber President/CEO Lindsay Keisler and City of Newton Mayor Jerry Hodges. Many community members, business leaders, and elected officials attended the celebration. A ribbon cutting ceremony took place after remarks and resulted in a recreated moment in time. The ribbon cutting took place at the same spot the family originally cut the ribbon 20 years ago!
