Meet our 2024 Board Chair, Pat Carver

The Chamber of Catawba County takes pride in highlighting the esteemed individuals who have committed to serving on our Board of Directors. This dedicated group of volunteers, reflecting the diverse landscape of our business community, is devoted to shaping the organization’s vision and priorities. Annually, a new Chair is appointed to lead the board, chosen by their peers for their active involvement, influence, and alignment with our mission. We are thrilled to announce Pat Carver, Area Executive of First Citizens Bank, as our 2024 Board Chair, a role we bestow upon with great honor.

Carver is a native North Carolinian and a graduate of NC State. He has worked for First Citizens Bank for 32 years and has led markets in Asheville/Western North Carolina, and the Atlanta area. In his current role as an Area Executive, Carver leads a market that covers the Catawba Valley area, Mt. Airy/Dobson, the Lake Norman Markets, Forest City/Marion/Morganton to Boone and West Jefferson, and in Johnson City, TN.

Carver resides in the Sherrills Ford community with his wife Laura of 27 years and their three children, Owen, Alex, and Emma. In his spare time, you can find Carver on the pickleball court or making wake and casting a line on Lake Norman.

“I’m honored and humbled to serve in this role. As Board Chair, it provides me with an opportunity to engage our business community in deeper relationships amongst all partners and produce our desired outcomes to help strengthen our business community, as well as the Catawba County community overall,” states Carver.

As Board Chair, Carver hopes to build deeper relationships and support The Chamber’s strategic priorities through collaborative and inclusive work. Carver strives to bring key community members and partners together with an intent on listening to help provide solutions to desired outcomes, in the next 12 months of his term.

Carver also adds, “I hope to add value with a strategic mindset with The Chamber and the Catawba County Chamber Foundation to help our community.”

“Pat’s passion, relational approach and experience will leave a profound mark on steering our Board of Directors. Pat’s dedication to The Chamber’s mission has been evident over the years, and we are privileged to have him step into the role of Board Chair. I am eager to work closely with him as we continue our efforts to advance business and economic success in Catawba County,” says Lindsay Keisler, President & CEO.
