On November 1, 2023, we hosted a 75th Anniversary Ribbon Cutting for Broome Insurance, a Legacy Insurance Partner. Broome Insurance is a family-owned firm that was founded in 1948 and is now in its fourth generation of ownership.
We began the celebration with a welcoming introduction from Chamber Ambassador, Andrea Walshak, followed by special remarks by Lindsay Keisler, President/CEO of The Chamber. Keisler commended the organization’s support of our greater community by sharing about Broome Insurance’s active involvement in participating in local boards and commissions, by volunteering for non-profit efforts, and even serving as corporate leaders in supporting community impact initiatives. She noted that Robert Broome and Lori Alala have served as past Chairs of The Chamber of Catawba County Board of Directors, and Alala currently serves as the very first Chair of the Catawba County Chamber Foundation Board of Directors.
Mayor Pro-Tem Charlotte Williams spoke on behalf of the city of Hickory followed by a brief business story by Robert Broome, Partner, before officially cutting the ribbon.
It’s worth noting that reaching the milestone of 75 years in business is a remarkable achievement. Only a small percentage of businesses make it to this significant anniversary. Broome Insurance’s success is a testament to their resilience, adaptability, and commitment to excellence.
