2022 Women’s Leadership Conference, Presented by Catawba Valley Health System

Our 2022 Women’s Leadership Conference, Presented by Catawba Valley Health System was held on October 25 at the Hickory Metro Convention Center.  Nearly 700 community leaders attended our sold out event! This immersive leadership development experience was designed to drive results with fresh, actionable strategies and inspiring leadership content.

Guests had the opportunity to hear from our General Session Keynote Speaker, Vitale Buford Hardin, on “Overcoming Perfectionism.” The event featured Breakout Sessions, which

allowed attendees to create a customized, value add to their conference experience. Some of the 8 Breakout Sessions included Trailblazers: Generational Leadership, Dynamic Listening Skills, Finding & Using Mentorship as a Career Development Tool, and 5 Signs of Heart Trouble that Women Miss.
In between Breakout Sessions and new to this year’s event, were our Pop Up Learning Sessions. These 15 minute engagement opportunities featured topics such as Charcuterie Quick Tips, Customer Service Nuggets from Chick-fil-A, and Stretch Your Limits.

Throughout the day, attendees browsed the Exhibit Hall and met with exhibitors and vendors. In our Lounge Hall, attendees could partake in retail therapy by shopping at our Shop Local Faire. We also hosted a Book Signing featuring our Keynote Speaker, Vitale Buford Hardin.

The day concluded with a panel discussion entitled Women of Leadership. The panel was moderated by Michelle Ellwanger and featured panelists: Mary Furtado, Dana Killian, Roxy Owens, and Joanna Shere.
