CATAWBA COUNTY, NC: The Chamber of Catawba County convened 570 business & community leaders from the region for its 48th Annual Shareholders & Investors Luncheon on February 26 . As a part of this event, the Chamber unveiled its updated name and logo to the attendees.
In late 2018, the Chamber Board of Directors tasked the Chamber team to gather data to determine if it was time for the organization to rebrand. Based on data collected, the evolution of the Chamber, the changes which have occurred in Catawba County and its strong economic position, the Board endorsed a rebranding initiative that officially launched in April 2019.
The Chamber contracted with Jackson Creative to conduct a branding survey, focus groups and interviews with both engaged and disengaged businesses. This valuable data helped the organization better understand internal and external perceptions. As a result, the Chamber’s Rebranding Taskforce made a recommendation to change the organization’s assume name to “The Chamber of Catawba County”, an inclusive and refreshed name that best represents the organization going forward.
Your Chamber’s new logo, designed by Pfahlert Creative Labs, utilizes three letter C’s — representing Connector, Catalyst & Champion, as well as, standing for the Chamber of Catawba County. The new colors and shapes create a circular icon that conveys movement, activity and the Chamber’s role as a convener of people and ideas.
This new logo is a visual representation of the Chamber’s greater purpose, strengthened by their new tagline – — “Working For Business.”
Chamber President/CEO, Lindsay Keisler, says, “Our new tagline, “Working for Business” places our “why” in the forefront of who we are. Your Chamber exists to work for business. Your Chamber is active, your Chamber is strategic, and your Chamber makes an impact. Your Chamber is leading the way, making a path and being on the forefront of Catawba County’s future.”
Once the brand is fully activated, it will serve as a guidepost for their messaging on what matters most to business in Catawba County — developing a qualified workforce, providing a platform of connectivity, empowering the business community to lead and develop professionally, and serving as a needed advocate for current and emerging business issues.
