A Day in Raleigh with our Advocacy Taskforce

Chamber President/CEO Lindsay Keisler and Advocacy Director, Brian Francis, spent the day in Raleigh with several leaders from our Advocacy Taskforce. They met with members of our  state delegation, Representative Jay Adams, Representative Mitchell Setzer, and Senator Dean Proctor. Our Advocacy Taskforce had the opportunity to meet and engage in policy discussions with members from the Charlotte Region’s delegation and other leaders in the North Carolina General Assembly.

While on the halls, they crossed paths with leaders from our local arts and culture organizations and the United Arts Council of Catawba County who were also spending the day at the Legislative Building.

They concluded with the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance Legislative Reception where they heard remarks from Governor Roy Cooper.

Advocating on behalf of our Shareholders and Investors is critical to our ability to help our community grow. We have committed to understanding the issues that are most important to the business community and advocate for or against those issues in order to protect business interests. We strive to serve as a go to source for well considered public poly and to have a thoughtful impact on policy-making at the local and state level.
