From April 22 through August 12, we will be recognizing each one of our Ambassadors on Fridays! Learn more about this highly visible public relations team and how they are responsible for engaging, encouraging, nurturing, and expanding relationships on behalf of The Chamber.
AJ is a native of Catawba County and a graduate of Appalachian State University. She has worked in healthcare for the last 20 years and found her passion about 9 years ago in senior care.
She has become an advocate for seniors, assisting them in finding appropriate resources in the community, both within healthcare and other industries. In March 2016, AJ became the Director of Professional Relations for PACE@Home and speaks to both professionals and families about PACE and how they help seniors remain in the community.
Aside from serving as an Ambassador, AJ also is a board member of Senior Information Resources (SIR), a Rotarian, Walk to End Alzheimer’s Committee member, member of Transportation Advisory Board for Greenway, and a member of the Regional Aging Advisory Committee with the WPCOG.
Why did you apply to become an Ambassador?
To make more connections, develop more relationships, and get to know more businesses in the community and how they serve the community.
What are you looking forward to most about being an Ambassador?
Meeting new people and going to events.

What is something unique we do not know about you? I have been to Moldova and Ecuador on a mission.
