We are pleased to announce Brett Bartles, President and CEO of Sarstedt, Inc., in Newton, NC, as the 2026 Board Chair of The Chamber of Catawba County.
Brett brings a dynamic blend of leadership experience, global business perspective, and deep North Carolina roots to this role. He currently serves as CEO and President of Sarstedt, Inc. Prior to joining Sarstedt, Brett spent 10 years in progressive leadership roles at Danaher Corporation and its 2019 carve-out, Envista Holdings Corp. A former Minor League Baseball player and Teach For America Corps Member, Brett’s background reflects both discipline and heart for service — qualities that position him well to lead during a pivotal season for our organization and community.

A graduate of Duke University with an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, Brett now leads one of Catawba County’s premier advanced manufacturers, producing healthcare products that impact patients around the globe. His unique journey — from education to executive leadership in advanced manufacturing — gives him a powerful perspective on the full talent continuum, from classroom to career.
As Board Chair, Brett will help guide the implementation of our 2026–2027 Strategic Priorities. This plan reflects a big, bold vision set by our Board of Directors. Our priorities are designed not only to strengthen individual businesses but to advance the long-term economic prosperity of Catawba County.
A key element of this work is the strategic alignment between The Chamber of Catawba County and the Catawba County Chamber Foundation, particularly as we implement the Catawba County Talent Strategy. Through this coordinated effort, we are committed to producing homegrown talent, attracting and retaining skilled workers, and ensuring our business community has the workforce it needs to compete and thrive.
Brett shares that vision for the year ahead: “Catawba County has the leadership, innovation, and work ethic to compete at the highest levels. In 2026, our focus is clear — strengthen our businesses, invest in talent, and align our efforts around a bold vision for economic prosperity. I am honored to serve alongside a Board and Chamber team committed to measurable impact for our community.”
We are grateful for Brett’s willingness to serve and confident in his leadership. His experience in education, advanced manufacturing, and global healthcare — combined with his commitment to our community — positions The Chamber for another year of meaningful progress.
Please join us in welcoming Brett Bartles as our 2026 Board Chair!
